The storm is over

Tottenham recorded a telling victory over Arsenal on Sunday to claim bragging rights over which north London team is most dominant. with both Manchester teams dominating the league, and Chelsea just about resting in third place, the Match was deemed an early indication of which team would secure the coveted fourth and final Champions league spot. Arsene has just about lost everything apart from his ability to secure champions league football in successive seasons. Andre Villas Boas had other plans. Bale put the home team ahead about half way through the first half and Aaron Lennon Scored the second. Arsenal were 2-0 down at half time. Though Mertlesacker pulled one back via a header in the second half Arsenal were wasteful in front of goal, predominantly Giroud, and very poor at the back. Nacho Montreal and Vermalen did not have a good match.

the result now puts Tottenham ahead in points at fourth position and leaves them with a strong possibility to challenge Chelsea for third. Arsenal must pick up the pieces in the aftermath of Bale force winds in time for the return leg against Bayern and then start to possibly contemplate a season with out champions league football.
